James R. Blaa, 69, of Riverside, a retired CTA executive, died Wednesday at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn. Mr. Blaa worked for the CTA for 42 years. He was also a veteran of World War II and a founding officer of the Cicero Police Reserve. Mr. Blaa is survived by his wife, Ann; a son, James Jr.; a daughter, Mary Beth Box; and two grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 60 Akenside Rd., Riverside.
