In response to two of your articles (March 1), Mike Royko’s “Rostenkowski Tests Charisma of Clinton,” and a Chicagoland article, “Clinton pays few old debts,” I tend to agree with Royko.
What was President Clinton doing (or not doing) that he had the time to visit Illinois and put in a plug for Dan Rostenkowski?
Why is President Clinton going to such lengths for a man who has been accused of fraudulent dealings? What’s in it for him; one more vote for his health care program?
Some undercurrent of political back-scratching and compromises is headed our way: Voter beware.
