Now that the U.S. Postal Service wants to raise the price of first-class postage again, I have a suggestion for them. Many years ago, the cafeteria where I had lunch was going to raise the price on the milk they sold in cartons. Instead, they made the cartons smaller and kept the price the same. My idea is to make the stamps smaller and keep the price the same. In either case, I am buying as many 29-cent stamps as I can afford, just in case they don’t take my advice.
