Police were looking Friday for two suspects they say beat up and fatally shot a 17-year-old South Side boy Thursday night as he was talking on a pay telephone.
Antwan Smith, of the 5200 block of South Hyde Park Boulevard, died late Thursday, police confirmed. Smith was using a phone at 7059 S. State St. when two men approached, struck him with a baseball bat, then shot him five times.
