Nikkei edges higher: The Nikkei Stock Average closed Friday at 21,503.30, up 135.83 points, or .64 percent, on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. On the foreign exchange market, the dollar was trading at 103.35 yen at midday, up 0.48 yen from Thursday’s close.
