In the last couple of weeks, how often did the words “domestic violence” appear? I took a minute to look up “domestic:” of or pertaining to the family or household; fond of home life and household affairs; home life or devotion to it. Teamed with “violence,” it’s almost an oxymoron. We can’t get away from the truth: The home or domicile is a place of nurture and growth or a place where the seeds of destruction and disorder are planted as well.
