I’ve been a reader of the Tribune for years, but lately I believe your editorial board and cartoonists are going too far in their criticism of our president. After all, our economy was on shaky ground when Bill Clinton took over in 1992.
Also the high cost of health care was started in the Reagan-Bush years, and now has skyrocketed to unbelievable heights. During the Reagan-Bush regime, I don’t remember reading any bad-mouthing in the Tribune of their trials and errors.
I served in the Army in World War II. I shudder to think how the morale of our troops would have been affected if we were to have read negative comments against our government in our papers overseas.
