Milton E. Kurth, 82, longtime local plastic surgeon and a lifelong Chicagoan, died Sunday in Rush-Presbyterian-St.Luke’s Medical Center. Dr. Kurth lived for the last 54 years in the West Lawn neighborhood, where he and his wife, Lucille, moved when they were married in 1940. He retired last year after decades of work at area hospitals, most recently Christ Hospital and Medical Center in Oak Lawn and St. Anthony’s Hospital in Chicago. He served in the Navy in World War II. Besides his wife, Dr. Kurth is survived by a daughter, Carol Ann. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Egan Funeral Home, 3700 W. 63rd St., Chicago. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
