Revised plans for a new residential development have won the approval of the city’s Plan Commission and are expected to go before the City Council for a final review.
Queens Court Partnership of Westmont redesigned its proposal for High Ridge Point after plan commissioners last month expressed concern about storm water detention at the site, located on the west side of Richmond Avenue near 67th Street.
The new plan reviewed last week by the commission includes better detention for runoff from an existing subdivision to the south, said Jeffrey Harris, director of building and zoning.
The proposal will be reviewed by the entire council, probably by Aug. 1 at the earliest, Harris said.
If the plans are approved, 13 single-family homes would be built at the site.
The City Council previously has considered plans for High Ridge Point, but rejected the first proposal because of concerns about drainage. Since then, the developer has met with the city staff to discuss revisions and has returned to the Plan Commission with a new proposal.
