United Airlines Tuesday sent Denver $26.4 million to cover the carrier’s share of costs for the latest delay in opening Denver International Airport, city officials said. The city’s director of revenue, Patricia Schwartzberg, said United prepaid its share for a three-month delay, from May 15 to Aug. 14. The airport’s opening was delayed indefinitely in May.
