Charles (Carl) Grundhoefer, 84, founder of Dun-Wel Litho Co., died Wednesday in Grant Hospital. Mr. Grundhoefer, who held several printing equipment patents, started the firm in 1948. He was past president of both the Kiwanis Club of Lake View and the Sheffield Neighborhood Association and a former board member of the Lincoln Park Conservation Association. Survivors include his wife, Julie; a daughter, Carol Brandenburg; a son, Guy; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Hollerbach Funeral Home, 4024 N. Elston Ave. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, 1010 W. Webster Ave.
