AT&T Corp. said it is pulling the plug on EO Inc., the developer of a hand-held computer communications device that proved too costly and too clunky to sell. Separately, AT&T confirmed published reports that it will join forces with Motorola Inc., Loral Corp. and International Business Machines Corp. to develop a new generation of computer chips.
