Fire gutted the apartment building at 2431 Dugdale Rd. Saturday morning, causing an estimated $300,000 worth of damage and displacing 100 residents , according to fire officials. There were no reports of injuries.

About 50 people lived in the building that was damaged, Fire Capt. Ken Harvey said.

The American Red Cross set up a temporary shelter for those displaced, he said. Cause of the blaze was under investigation.
