Robert Allen Haubrich, 64, an arbitrator of the Illinois Industrial Commission, died July 14 in his Gurnee home. Mr. Haubrich served in the U.S. Army Counter Intelligence Corps from 1951 to 1953. In 1966, he was chairman of the Lake County Democratic Central Committee. During his tenure with the Illinois Industrial Commission, which began in 1967, he administered tens of thousands of industrial-accident claims in Lake and McHenry Counties. Mr. Haubrich is survived by a daughter, Kirah L.; two sons, John G. and Josef H.; and a brother. A memorial service will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Aug. 16 in the auditorium on the concourse level of the Thompson Center, 100 W. Randolph St.
