Homeowners with 30-year fixed-rate mortgages refinanced into adjustable-rate mortgages at a record pace in the second quarter, the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp. said. Among borrowers, 14 percent of those refinancing 30-year fixed-rate loans converted them into ARMs, far exceeding the 6 percent in the prior quarter.
