Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Regarding your editorial, “Starr steps in, Fiske steps out” (Aug. 9), it should be added “and the Tribune slips up.” While I haven’t always agreed with the contents of your editorials, they seem to have been fair.

In this particular editorial, however, you described Kenneth Starr as having “. . .impeccable credentials and, despite an unquestionably conservative bent, a reputation for scrupulous fairness.” How can I take this any other way but meaning you find it difficult to believe that a conservative can be fair. Sure, I know, only a liberal can fit this bill.
