General American Life Insurance Co. and Xerox Financial Services Inc. said they signed a letter of intent for General American to acquire Xerox Financial Services Life Insurance Co. and related companies for undisclosed terms. Xerox Life, based in Oakbrook Terrace, has $4.3 billion in assets and more than 130,000 annuity and life insurance contracts in force.
