John F. Sobol, 85, of Gurnee, a retired manager of manufacturing engineering at Eaton Corp. in Carol Stream, died Saturday in the Americana Healthcare Center in Libertyville. He was born in Chicago and formerly lived in Cicero and Libertyville. He was a former vocational education teacher in Evanston Township and Morton Township high schools. He is survived by his wife, Harriet; two sons, Frederick and Craig; a brother, and four grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave., Libertyville. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
