The body of an unidentified woman was found on a Des Plaines street early Saturday, according to Des Plaines police.
The woman was believed to have been struck by a hit-and-run driver, police said. An anonymous caller reported a hit-and-run accident, and when police arrived at Potter Road and Church Street, they discovered the woman’s body.
Police described as a Filipina or Latina, 30 to 40 years old. She was wearing blue jeans, a black T-shirt and white tennis shoes, police said.
