I am very offended by the recent photograph of the bloodied bull shown running over a wall and toward the stands at a bullfight in Spain. The caption accompanying the picture seemed to make light of the scene. Bullfights are torturous, archaic and barbaric.
There is nothing funny about an animal being stabbed and taunted until its death. There is very little known about the psychological strain put on a bull during a bullfight, but I feel safe in assuming that it must be very great. Could that be what caused the animal to run over the wall? Maybe next time a photo such as this is acquired, it could be used to educate and not degrade.
