A 28-year-old Chicago police officer was wounded in the leg when his gun went off during a struggle Sunday with a man he had pulled over in a traffic stop, police said.
The officer, Aaron Chatham, was in fair condition at EHS Christ Hospital and Medical Center in Oak Lawn after the 2:30 a.m. incident in the 7500 block of South Sangamon Street, police said.
Andrew Burton, 17, of the 7500 block of South Sangamon Street, was arrested on charges of aggravated battery to a police officer and disarming an officer, police said.
