The possibilities for the nine teams that can qualify for the playoffs in Week 16 (22 teams are still in competition for a playoff berth):
NATIONAL CONFERENCE
– CENTRAL DIVISION
BEARS: Can clinch a playoff berth with a win over the Los Angeles Rams, plus a Green Bay loss or tie against Atlanta and an Arizona loss or tie against Cincinnati.
Minnesota: Can clinch the division title with a win over Detroit. Can clinch a playoff berth with tie vs. Detroit.
– EASTERN DIVISION
Dallas: Has clinched division title. Can earn a first-round bye with a win or tie against New Orleans or with a Minnesota loss or tie against Detroit.
– WESTERN DIVISION
San Francisco: Has clinched division title and a first-round bye. Can clinch home-field advantage with a win over Denver or a Dallas loss to New Orleans.
AMERICAN CONFERENCE
– EASTERN DIVISION
Miami: Can clinch the division title with a win over Kansas City on Monday night and a win over Indianapolis next Sunday.
New England: Can clinch a playoff berth with a win over Buffalo and a loss by Denver to San Francisco, and Kansas City losses to Miami Monday and to Houston next Sunday.
– CENTRAL DIVISION
Pittsburgh: Has clinched a playoff berth. Can win the division with a win or tie against Cleveland and clinch a first-round bye with loss or tie by Miami against Kansas City on Monday.
Cleveland: Has clinched a playoff berth.
– WESTERN DIVISION
San Diego: Can clinch the division title with a win over New York Jets, or a loss by either the Los Angeles Raiders to Seattle or by Kansas City to Miami on Monday night.
Eliminated: Cincinnati, Houston, Los Angeles Rams, Seattle, Tampa Bay and Washington.
