I very much enjoyed reading your series of articles (“Andrea’s Dream”) on Andrea Ellington’s efforts to make a better life for herself and her children. I admire her courage in exposing her life to public scrutiny. Her story points up the great importance of good public education from primary years on, and is the best argument I have ever heard for our country’s investment in preventive programs.
I hope life gets easier for this young woman and that she someday attains her goals.
