Duane R. Terry, 73, a commercial photographer and owner of Terry’s Photography, died Thursday in his office, apparently of a heart attack. Mr. Terry, a resident of the Edgewater neighborhood, was an award-winning photographer for the Chicago Herald-American before opening his own studio in 1956. During World War II, he was a chief photographer with the Navy and received three air medals. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, and two daughters, Alison Rodes and Dee. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday in the Cooney Funeral Home, 3552 N. Southport Ave. Burial was private.
