Your front-page story of Feb. 17 (“Abortion, affirmative action loom as hot issues”) refers to “pro-choice” Republicans as “GOP moderates.”
We strongly disagree. What is moderate about a lethal attack on an unborn infant or (in the case of the disabled) on one already born?
The real moderates are the pro-lifers. They want each baby to be born. Of course, that is also conservatism. True conservatism conserves. It does not destroy.
