Lawrence M. Lyons, 80, of Vernon Hills, died Saturday in Hawthorn Lakes Retirement Home. Mr. Lyons had worked in sales, publishing and had owned several travel agencies in Chicago and Deerfield. He was a former president of the Illinois Thoroughbred Breeders Association. He is survived by a son, Kevin; and two grandchildren. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Gurnee Funeral Home, 4190 Grand Ave., Gurnee.
