The Justice Department is looking into whether U.S. airlines violated federal anti-collusion laws when they capped fees paid to travel agents. Earlier this year major carriers scrapped the industry’s long-standing 10 percent commission rate for travel agents. They now pay a maximum of $50 on round trips and $25 on one-way tickets.
