Regardless of when the baseball season starts, and whether replacement players or regular major-leaguers take the field, Cubs and White Sox discount ticket policies will remain in place for all home games in the month of April.
In the Cubs’ case, the reduced prices cover 15 games, extending from the scheduled April 11 opener against Cincinnati through the May 3 game against Houston. For those games, all tickets are reduced 50 percent and range in price from $3 to $9.50, depending on location.
The Sox’s reduced prices cover all 13 home games in April, from the scheduled April 7 opener against New York through the April 24 game against Boston. Two of those games, however, April 10 and 12 against Baltimore, might not be played. Orioles owner Peter Angelos has said he will only field a major-league team, and will not participate in replacement games.
Sox tickets for April games are priced from $2 to $8, reduced from the normal range of $8 to $18.
If the season is delayed to give regulars a chance at minimal spring training, any games played within the current Cubs and Sox policy will remain discounted. For games after April 24 for the Sox and May 3 for the Cubs, ticket prices and exchange policies will be announced as the schedules become known.
