An 11-year-old Downers Grove boy remained in critical condition Thursday after the bicycle he was riding apparently struck a moving car, police said. Witnesses said the boy was riding east on Warren Avenue at Montgomery Avenue on Wednesday when he apparently lost control of his bike and hit a 1994 Oldsmobile Bravada traveling in the same direction. The driver of the car, a 32-year-old Downers Grove woman, had tried to move out of the boy’s way, witnesses said. The boy was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.
