A 22-year-old Warrenville man was arrested in West Chicago after leading police on a chase after trying to kidnap his former girlfriend, police said. Daniel P. Piraino of 2 S 456 Cynthia Drive was charged with criminal trespass, battery and disorderly conduct. Police said Piraino arrived Tuesday at a home in the 0-99 block of Oak Terrace, allegedly broke down a door and grabbed the woman, 24, around her waist and allegedly dragged her to his car. Once outside, the woman’s current boyfriend intervened, police said.
