O.K., you’ve had a snort or two. Time to decide, “Do I drive home or take a cab?” Take the worry out of being blipped. Pull out PreVent, billed as a “personal disposable breathalyzer” by its creators, Innovative Marketing Ideas of St. Paul, Minn.
“Simply blow into PreVent and 30 seconds later the device will tell the user whether they are over or under the legal limit to drive,” says company literature, which adds that the gizmo adjusts for variables such as body weight, food intake and gender.
Firm president Brian Prevost (shouldn’t it be PreVost?) says PreVent can convince people that they shouldn’t drive. “We feel the product has tremendous potential to save lives,” he says.
PreVent will be available in packs of eight. Whoopie!
The company insists it is not advocating drinking and driving. “They do not mix,” it says.
Packs of eight. Yeah, sure.
