John A. Witthoeft, 53, a design engineer from Lake in the Hills, died Wednesday at home. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; a son, David; two daughters, Victoria Poliquin and Felicia; two brothers; and three grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Wait-Ross-Allanson Funeral Chapel, 201 S. Main St., Algonquin. Services will be at 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral chapel.
