James A. Gentile, 59, a retired Bellwood Fire Department captain, died Wednesday at Good Samaritan Hospital, Downers Grove. A resident of Lombard, he formerly had lived in Berkeley. Survivors include his wife, Donna; four sons, James, Joseph, Thomas and Michael; a daughter, Maria; a brother and sister; and a grandchild. Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Domitilla Church, 4940 Washington St., Hillside.
