Boys golf: Erik Ciotti, Barrington. Shot final-round 71 to win Class AA individual title.
Girls tennis: Katherine Nasser, Hersey. Junior won singles title in three sets.
Boys cross-country: Chris Bailey, Westmont. Repeated as Class A champion.
Girls cross-country: Cassidy Wall, Mt. Assisi. Junior won Class AA individual title.
Boys soccer: Brian Lehky, Lake Park. Scored 28 goals en route to first team All-State and All-American honors.
Girls volleyball: Jeanine Szczesniak, Mother McAuley. All-Stater helped lead Mighty Macs to their ninth Class AA state title.
Girls swimming: Lauren Silva, Rosary; Alison Wimer, Palatine. Both won two individual titles at state meet.
Football: Kenny Carrington, Richards. The senior led the state with 66 catches for 1,407 yards and 23 TDs, the latter a state record.
Bowling: Lisa Stack, Larkin. Averaged 218 over 12 rounds to win the state title by more than 150 pins.
Girls gymnastics: Michelle Huston, Naperville North. The junior won the vault and floor exercise titles en route to defending her all-around title with 38.3 points.
Wrestling: Reggie Wright, Proviso East. Won 135-pound title in thrilling, overtime victory over unbeaten Mt. Carmel defending champ Tony Davis.
Boys swimming: Jim Patla, Fremd. Anchored decisive 400-freestyle relay team which clinched second straight state title for Vikings. Also finished fourth in 50 freestyle.
Girls basketball: Tamika Catchings, Stevenson. Ms. Basketball led Stevenson to Class AA title.
Boys basketball: Kevin Garnett, Farragut. Won Mr. Basketball award and led Farragut to city championship.
Badminton: Liz Meloy, Evanston. Capped unbeaten season with state singles title.
Boys gymnastics: Matt Schoen, St. Viator. The senior repeated as all-around champion.
Girls track: Shakedia Jones, Waukegan. Sophomore won 100- and 200-meter dashes.
Boys track: Chris Watson, Leo. Led Lions to Class AA title with victories in 100- and 200-meter dashes.
Boys tennis: Brian Panek and Brian Elliott, Deerfield. The doubles team finished second in state to help lead the Warriors to their first team title since 1984.
Girls soccer: Anne Mucci, Naperville Central. All-Stater scored 20 goals and 12 assists to lead team to second straight runner-up finish.
Boys volleyball: Phil Kerewich, New Trier. 6-foot-5-inch outside hitter led the Trevians to the state crown with 490 kills, nearly 40 percent of his team’s total.
Softball: Lindsey Prezell, Mundelein. The senior set four state records en route to a 29-2 season and 0.19 ERA.
Baseball: Jody Gerut, Willowbrook. Hit .466 and stole 35 bases in 37 attempts.
