George E. Stieg, 86, of McHenry Township, a former village treasurer for Addison, died Tuesday in Northern Illinois Medical Center in McHenry. He was born in Lyons Township and formerly lived in Addison and Fox Lake. During the Big Band era, he performed with bands as a clarinetist and saxophonist. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor; and a sister. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in George R. Justen Funeral Home, 3519 W. Elm St., McHenry. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 420 Greenwood Drive, Round Lake Park.
