A homemade bomb was tossed into a hair salon early Sunday at 55 Meadowdale Drive, but it failed to explode, police said. A glass door had been broken to allow access to the business, authorities said. Smoke from the device, which was fashioned from a soda can and had a wick in it, set off the fire alarm, authorities said.
