An employee of America’s Car Wash, 400 N. Milwaukee Rd., was fired from his job and charged with theft Friday after he was accused of stealing a compact disc player, a compact disc and a hunting-style knife from the owner of a 1990 Toyota who was using the car wash, police said. The 47-year-old Schaumburg victim said he saw Javier Lopez, 21, of 300 Sheridan Rd., Highwood, take the items from his vehicle Wednesday and place them in his car, police said.
