In two separate actions, the Village Board awarded final plat approval for two single-family developments.
Last Wednesday, the board unanimously gave its blessing for the second phase of the Winddance Valley development, which will comprise 58 single-family homes. Schaumburg developer William Ryan Homes is currently building the first phase of the subdivision, located on the east side of Cedar Lake Road north of Monaville Road.
In a second unanimous vote, the board approved the first phase of the Brentwood development, with 94 proposed units. That parcel is on 42 acres east of Illinois Highway 83 about one-half mile north of Monaville Road. Lake Villa developer Arnold Buschman plans to begin infrastructure improvements on the site this fall.
