The Village Board unanimously approved an ordinance Tuesday night authorizing the village to seek proposals and bids for the sale of surplus village property.
The items come from the police, finance and fire departments as well as the Sports Core, archives, administration and public works. Some of the property is in poor condition or in need of repair, Village President Karen Bushy said.
She estimated that the combined value of the items is less than $1,000, excluding the Sports Core’s stable, which has about 54 pipe stalls and is covered by a roof with four tack rooms.
