What exalted honcho at the networks made the decision to televise only the American League playoffs in the Chicago area? We were subjected to the Yankees and Mariners and then the Indians and Mariners. Only snippets of the Braves-Reds scores were occasionally shown.
Also, no pre-game ceremonies were shown (not even singing of the national anthem), only commercials.
The greedy players and owners have gained another partner–the networks. No wonder people are staying away from baseball.
