The city’s blue-bag recycling program begins Monday, which will enable 750,000 households to recycle with far less hassle.
Residents need to buy blue plastic garbage bags for cans, glass, plastic jugs, newspapers, magazines and junk mail. Then, Department of Streets and Sanitation trucks will collect them along with regular garbage and transport them to one of four new separating centers.
