Police charged a 17-year-old North Chicago youth with unlawful restraint and battery Wednesday after he allegedly forced a former girlfriend into his car and held her for a short time. Nathaniel Welch, of 3137 21st St., was arrested for allegedly picking up Jamie Gollon, 17, of Antioch, and carrying her to his car, according to police reports. Once inside his car, Welch allegedly struck Gollon on the arm before eventually letting her out of the vehicle, police said.
