The village is asking folks to put on the brakes while traveling on streets in the Glenmoor and Glen Oaks subdivisions.
An ordinance, adopted this week, lowers the speed limit to 25 m.p.h. on the following roads: Buckthorn Drive, Periwinkle Lane, Crab Tree Lane, Magnolia Drive, Redwood Drive, Ivy Lane and Glen Oaks Court.
The village passed another ordinance calling for stop signs to be posted at a number of points in those subdivisions.
The signs will designate new stops along Stonegate Road, South Oakleaf Road, Huntington Drive North, Randall Road and Harnish Drive. The ordinances are the result of traffic safety studies.
