Federal Express Corp.’s pilots’ union says progress has been made in talks with company officials to solve a contract dispute. The union, which claims to represent half of FedEx’s 2,900 pilots, doesn’t want its members to work overtime and is trying to stop the firm from hiring pilots overseas or leasing aircraft and crews from other airlines. So far, the dispute has not disrupted FedEx’s service.
