A 27-year-old Villa Park man was arrested Wednesday after allegedly leaving Carson Pirie Scott and Co., 230 Yorktown Center, with two unpaid-for pairs of pants and allegedly hitting an employee who tried to stop him, police said. William Mayden of 530 N. Michigan Ave. was charged with retail theft and battery after Downers Grove police stopped his car.
