Police said they were waiting for a Lombard man to turn himself in after abandoning his car Saturday morning after he was stopped on suspicion of speeding along Roosevelt Road. The Lombard resident allegedly ran from the officer, who then had the car towed. Police in Lombard said the man called them Sunday to report his car stolen from the 200 block of Collen Court but was told to call Oakbrook Terrace police.
