One issue not being covered by candidates running for office in Chicago is the litter problem. Not only is litter not addressed, the candidates themselves are contributing to it.

As a resident of the city, I am disgusted by the amount of trash on our city streets. Approaching the CTA station at Irving Park and Pulaski Roads is like walking through a garbage can. The days prior to the election the situation was compounded by campaign literature strewn throughout the station.

I have witnessed campaign workers–and candidates themselves–who stand there and watch pedestrians toss the literature. When the workers/candidates are finished distributing it, they walk away. Who is going to clean up this litter as it blows across the streets of the city? Maybe this is just a new campaign dissemination strategy.
