Want to give your friends “Friends”? Here’s the situation: You can order and personalize cards featuring TV’s “Friends” through America Online (if your folks help out with their credit card). Type “Hallmark” (the cardmaker, duh) at the Keyword prompt; choose the card you want (from eight scenes); insert a friend’s name into the message on the front; and on the inside add a personal message. Each card costs $2.95, plus delivery and postage. (We paid $3.27 a card.) Want a closer peek? OK, on the second card from the top, above, Phoebe says, “(Insert name), I don’t know what I’d do without you for my friend.” Inside, it says, “Most likely complain about my life to total strangers and get a lot of weird looks!”
If you’re not part of the on-line scene, the situation doesn’t have to byte: The cards are expected to be available at stores in the next month or so.
