Robert W. Moore, 69, founder and chief executive of Service Coatings Inc., in Harvey, died Sunday in Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Mr. Moore was a resident of Chicago and Marco Island, Fla. He sold his business in 1994. He was in the Army Air Force from 1943 to 1946. As a Confederate Air Force colonel, he and other veterans preserved old planes and displayed them at air shows. Survivors include his wife, Linda; three sons, Robert William, Michael R. and James R.; a stepson, Matthew Miller; two stepdaughters, Amy Willis and Molly Hrej; a brother; and five grandchildren. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 1035 N. Dearborn St., Chicago.
