– Charlie Annerino, Marist: Went 9 for 14 with nine RBIs and pitched a two-hit shutout.
– Jeff Busse, Buffalo Grove: Went 12 for 16, drove in six runs and scored five.
– Alec Porzel, Naperville North: Earned a pitching win over Naperville Central, went 8 for 9, drove in eight runs and scored seven.
– Ray Strzykalski, St. Rita: In four games, he had three home runs and drove in 14 runs.
– Larry Zimont, Oak Forest: Went 15 for 23 (.652) with 17 RBIs and scored 11 runs.
SOFTBALL
– Brianne Fisher, Warren: The pitcher won three games, earned a save and had 11 hits, including eight doubles.
– Ginny Georgantas, Lockport: Won four games pitching, had 14 hits (three homers) and 18 RBIs.
– Kelley Morris, Sandburg: She didn’t allow a run in three consecutive shutouts, had 18 strikeouts, allowed nine hits and walked two.
SOCCER
– Julie Green, Maine South: Scored five goals in two games, including three in a victory over Glenbrook North.
GYMNASTICS
– Josh Levin, Glenbard West: Scored a 9.7 on pommel horse and finished in the top three in four Wheaton North Invitational events.
TENNIS
– James Juarez and Jake Welsch, Naperville North: The tandem won the doubles title at the Naperville North Invitational.
